Just getting through every day of parenting is something to congratulate yourself for sure. In the whole roller-coaster journey from becoming a mother to actually being a mother what remains constant is the “MOM GUILT”. We understand this and that’s absolutely normal, which is why we say Momma Just Chill!
In the whole motherhood voyage, the scenarios that you become hard on yourself as a mom become quite palpable. However, enforcing such pressure on yourself has a negative impact on psychological and physical health.
So, how not to be too hard on yourself as a mom? Know it here-
Self-motivation is the best thing to boost your morale in the motherhood journey. Likewise comes demotivation. Thus, always being hard on yourself as a mom is too stressful. Because it’s simply self-destruction. Self-criticism ruins to an irreversible extent so be gentle to yourself and aim that you’ll do it all well.
Ways to Become Helpful to Yourself as a Mother-
- Talk to Yourself in the Mirror
As soon as you wake up in the morning, it is essential to give yourself the right psychological push. So, wake up, walk a bit, look into the mirror, and say “I am doing it well and will do it all great ahead”. Recite these as powerful words for a positive manifestation.
- Don’t Accept it all!
The pressure, the anxiety, the stress, and whatever pushes you down shouldn’t be accepted at all. You’re worthy of self-pampering, love, and care.
Trust us on this! Once you start repelling negative actions and begin spoiling yourself with a little extra self-love- everything will be all sorted.
- Take Help when Required
If you attempt to handle everything alone, you will rapidly get exhausted and overwhelmed. Mom’s guilt really begins to set in at that point.
Stop being so hard on yourself and accept that it’s alright to seek assistance as the first step. Taking care of a family is a team effort! You can’t handle it all by yourself, and attempting to do so will just make you feel stressed and anxious.
Take advantage of your spouse if you have one and ask them to watch the kids for a few hours so you can have some alone time. Check to discover whether you have any family or friends if you are single.
- Add “Me Time” to the daily schedule
Whether it’s working out, exercising, practicing yoga, reading a book, doing skincare, going to the salon, making pancakes, or whatever- do what you like.
While you divide time for baby, husband, in-laws, office, and everybody’s chores. Additionally, it’s essential to allocate some part of the day for yourself.
Mark it, moms, having a little bit of “Me Time” even for at least 15 minutes at the start isn’t too much to ask for.
To The Bottom Line-
The days of motherhood are hard and we know that. But, you know the best part, it’s a superpower to be a “Mom”. And you have that force to rule everybody because you are a born star Momma!
